My post from a couple days ago, mentioned that one of our favorite fall activities is the pumpkin patch. This weekend did not disappoint. We have one of the coolest patches just 30 minutes from our house and it's great for kids of all ages. This is not just a simple "pick your pumpkin" patch. No ma'am. This is the full-meal-deal-patch: hayrides, a corn room, a giant (underground) slide, car races, a bouncy house, tractor pulls, fishing, a petting zoo and more.
Here are a few pictures from our recent visit. We went with my sister and her family and had a great morning.
Oh, and I should mention that we narrowly avoided a massive storm that headed in just minutes after we headed home. I know some of you around the country experience storms on a regular basis, but up here in the Pacific NW, it's nearly unheard of! There was an actual tornado warning, as well as a water spout, just 30 minutes from our house. As we listened to the warnings on the radio, telling us to take cover in a basement and/or find a room in our house without windows, my kids were totally freaked out! Thankfully, the water spout dissipated before it reached land and the warning was called off.
Sure makes for a great memory, though!
